Kirk Dorius has been an entrepreneur, executive, and consultant in the nuclear medicine and nuclear energy industries since 2010. Kirk currently serves as fractional CEO and general counsel for Atom Mines, a medical isotope manufacturer specializing in the production of Ytterbium-176, an isotope needed to produce Lutetium-177 which is a key ingredient in cancer radiotherapies.

Kirk, based in Austin, Texas, has also served as fractional general counsel and President of the Pointsman Foundation, an Austin, Texas nonprofit organization advancing domestic production and use of stable isotopes and radioisotopes for medical treatments, diagnostics, and research.  Kirk has served as start-up counsel, IP counsel, and fractional general counsel to clients through his law firm, Dorius Law, since 2017, where he focuses on helping clients with patents, trademarks, copyrights and licensing of IP, and previously worked as a patent attorney with national firms and as a mechanical engineer with a missile defense contractor.  Kirk has advised clients acquired by IBM, Apple, Cirrus Logic, and Digital Domain.

Kirk has particular expertise and interest in isotope separation, molten salt nuclear reactor developments, and intellectual property law.  Kirk studied mechanical engineering at Utah State University and intellectual property law at the University of New Hampshire.
