Bill Gates Supports Advanced Nuclear

Bill Gates, Chairman and Co-founder of TerraPower, participated in the event hosted by Governor Mark Gordon of Wyoming in which he, Senator Barasso and other officials announced TerraPower’s selection of a Wyoming based retired coal plant as the site on which it would build its first Natrium advanced reactor.  Bill Gates addressed the assembled audience in Wyoming by video link, celebrating this milestone.  Bill Gates has talked about the need for nuclear power more generally on many occasions, as early as his 2010 TEDTalk “Innovating to Zero,” and even wrote about it in his 2021 published book, “How to Avoid a Climate Disaster.”
